8. Sean Young, "Blade Runner"
Whatever you make of Sean Young now, she was indeed “more human than human” as the Replicant who was unaware of her own status as such in “Blade Runner,” and what an unusual mandate for an actress. If Prim is a doll, Rachael is indeed the picture of a man-made woman. She is not a fembot to be easily forgotten, but rather a paragon of feminine grace. Young captured the idea of being more of the human ideal than any mere mortal could hope to be while still appearing somehow heart-breakingly organic. She is as vulnerable as she is alluring, an emotionally, sexually potent combination that allows us to believe that she is worth the risk of the death that the film promises.
