The greatest buddy comedies of all-time
Will 'The Heat's' Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy join the list?
20. 'White Men Can't Jump' (1992)
Before audiences sat down to watch Ron Shelton's comedy about two unlikely partners hustling money from competing teams on the outdoor courts of Los Angeles they probably couldn't decide which was more unlikely: 1. Wesley Snipes (best known for "Jungle Fever" and "New Jack City" at the time) could be incredibly funny or 2. that Woody Harrelson (still on "Cheers") could be believable as a great basketball player. After watching the film the latter is still a tiny bit in doubt (boy, that was some horrible form on Harrelson's jumper), but the duo still combined for one of the funniest and dramatic buddy movies ever. (And how can we forget the fact it introduced the world to the one and only Rosie Perez?).
