The greatest buddy comedies of all-time
Will 'The Heat's' Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy join the list?
23. 'Stir Crazy' (1980)
When people talk about "Silver Streak," it's likely that they're really talking about the very brief screen time that Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor share. Small wonder, because the two of them had some sort of electric connection that was undeniable. I wish Pryor had played the lead in "Blazing Saddles" because that would have been the great film that the two of them never quite made. "Stir Crazy" will have to do, instead, and while I can't call the film great, there is magic built into many of the moments that these two share onscreen. I wish there were dozens of movies featuring this duo, but I'll settle for this glimpse of what could have been.
