25. 'The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' (1994)
Two Sydney drag queens and a transsexual make their way across the Australian outback for a performance at a Casino in Alice Springs. This unlikely comedy was groundbreaking for its depiction of gay families, introduced the world to a cheeky Guy Pearce before he lost his memory in "Memento, featured a visual style that director Stephen Elliott has been trying to live up to ever since and, trust me, you've never seen Mr. Smith (Hugo Weaving) like this. The heartwarming and funny story is so endearing it spurned a hit stage musical that has played the West End and Broadway.
