BEST - CBS' "Elementary"

BEST - CBS' "Elementary"

Is it as good at the BBC "Sherlock"? No. But guess what? "Elementary" is going to air 22 episodes before viewers are treated to their next miniature infusion of "Sherlock" and any viewers petulantly resisting CBS' new Doyle-inspired procedural simply out of dedication to Benedict Cumberbatch will miss a terrific lead performance from Jonny Lee Miller, an interesting new Watson-Holmes dynamic and a take on the classic gumshoe which actually has NOTHING IN COMMON with "Sherlock" other than its modern setting. Seriously, "Sherlock" fans... Get over it. Whether "Elementary" is awesome or awful -- It's solid and entertaining -- it should be allowed to rise or fall on its own merits.
