The Best and Worst New TV Shows of Fall 2012
'Beauty & The Beast,' 'Last Resort,' 'Vegas' and 'The Neighbors' make the cut
BEST - ABC's "666 Park Avenue"
While "666 Park Avenue" may not deserve a place among the "best" of the new season based on quality and nuance, it definitely belongs here for its enthusiastic and slavishly [and effectively] derivative commitment commitment to a goofy-fun premise. Not every show on TV is required to have "Mad Men"/"Breaking Bad" depths. Sometimes you just want to watch Terry O'Quinn chew scenery as the [maybe] Devil or watch pretty people get terrorized by supernatural forces as punishment for their problematic real estate choices. Rachael Taylor and Dave Annable make an attractive central couple, but it's the mayhem around them that will hopefully make this a reliable guilty pleasure for ABC.
