The 10 most underrated 'Saturday Night Live' cast members of all time
You won't find Tina Fey, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray or Adam Sandler on this list
6. Nasim Pedrad
Best known for: Ariana Huffington, Bedelia
Overshadowed by: Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader
Why: Poor Pedrad. She simply can't get a break on "SNL", no matter who else is on the cast with her at the time. She arrived at the apex of Kristen Wiig's dominance, shuttled to the side along with the rest of the female cast members. When Wiig left in 2012, it seemed like the show would have no choice but to prominently display her unique talents. Instead, "SNL" hired Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, and Kate McKinnon, while simultaneously beefing up Vanessa Bayer's onscreen time as well. There's no clear conspiracy at work here, but the show simply hasn't been able to harness Pedrad's unique skillset (which features as many awkward-yet-brilliant teens as dead-on celebrity impressions) in a way that truly has unleashed her full range of talent. Given how infrequently she's been used this season, it's possible we may never see that full range.
