Madonna/Gorillaz/De La Soul - 'Feel Good Inc.'/'Hung Up'

The holographic 'toon band starts out on their hit "Feel Good Inc.," before live-action rappers De La come on stage to do their part. Eventually, they all make way for the Material Girl herself. Sure, the ABBA-sampling "Hung Up" isn't one of Madonna's best jams, but in this context, it's stylistic elasticity and giddy melding of dance styles make it hard to resist. Styles merge. Generic barriers break down. Decades mean nothing. This is the kind of ridiculously over-the-top showcase we've come to expect from the Grammys.
