No

I had to do some last-minute chopping and changing to make room for this one, but when the news landed this morning that Chilean auteur Pablo Larraín's latest is in the Directors' Fortnight selection, there was no way it wasn't making my list. I had hoped "No" would appear in a more prominent strand, given that the director's superb previous feature "Post Mortem" (which made my 10 Best of 2010 list) was well-received in Competition at Venice, and that this marks his first collaboration with a major star, Gael García Bernal. But I'll take it anyway: the closer to his trilogy of Pinochet-era political black comedies (the first was "Tony Manero"), it focuses on an ad exec's campaign to oust the dictator. Here's hoping for a hat-trick.
