The 10 Greatest Super Bowl halftime shows of all time
Beyonce, Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and more
2. U2, Super Bowl XXXVII (2002)
Almost five months after 9/11, U2 opened with "Beautiful Day" and even watching it now you get chills. Thousands of fans surrounding the band in the Louisiana Superdome. No fireworks. No dancers. Just a heart shaped stage and a band at their peak. Technically, It featured some amazing camerawork (the camera panning back from Bono during a key point of "Beautiful Day" is gorgeous) and when the band transitioned to "MLK" the audience is stunned as names of the 9/11 victims are raised behind them. Finally, an epic version of "Where The Streets Have No Name." It was only 12 minutes and barely three songs, but the country needed it, the world needed it. And U2 delivered.
