The British quintet landed not one, but two albums at No. 1 in 2012, setting records along the way. “Up All Night,” the boy band’s first album, became the first debut album by a British group in history to bow at the top of the Billboard 200. Everywhere they went, the five lads were greeted with adoring screams, and that was just from the moms. The tweens and teens who follow their every move, on One Directioners, as they are known, help spawn the biggest boy band craze since New Kids on the Block.
