Frank Ocean
People come out of the closet every day; however, it is unprecedented that an R&B star -- operating closely in the hip-hop world -- has publicly revealed that he's something other-than-straight as his star's ascended. The Odd Future cohort released his Def Jam debut "Channel Orange" shortly after revealing via his Tumblr that his first love was a man: he went on to debut at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, earned six Grammy nominations and scored critical acclaim, as well as the vocal support of many of his peers.
