I get it. The black and white dress goes with her cute little black and white shoes. She's extremely well put together, and my toddler would look fabulous in this. Matchy-matchy is fine, but ripping the midsection out of a 50's style shirtwaist dress doesn't make it modern. It makes it look like a really bad decision for a woman over 35. When you're no longer young enough to be cast as the ingenue, you're trying too hard. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
