Lowdown: The plot synopsis of David Lowery's latest would be enough to draw my attention, but then he went and filled it out with a fascinating cast: Rooney Mara, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster -- I'm there. Noted as taking its lead from classics such as "Badlands" and "Bonnie and Clyde," this evocation of western mythology could announce a bold new voice, and that's what you look for at Sundance. Lowery is also the editor of Shane Carruth's "Upstream Color" at this year's fest.
