5. 'Bad' (1987)

By the time his 1987 album "Bad" came out, Jackson could work with virtually any filmmakers for his videos. For the album's funky title cut, he even got Martin Scorsese to take a rare crack at the format. The result was a 16-minute mini-epic in which Jackson has to re-assert his "badness" after returning to the city (and some neighborhood friends including Wesley Snipes) after a stint at prep school. It's basically an update of the cartoonish take on musical theater machismo first seen in "Beat It."
