London Olympics Closing Ceremonies - Best and Worst
Worst: Flight of the Phoenix
After mostly being a display of British pop music star power over the past few decades, creative maestro and Oscar nominee Stephen Daldry decided to bring some artistic license back to the show during the extinguishing of the Olympic flame. While it involved a performance from well-known English ballerina Darcey Bussell, the Vegas-inspired phoenix costumes seemed like they were stolen from Will Ferrell's ice skating comedy "Blades of Glory" and overall the over-the-top dance number was a bit much. It came out of nowhere and, sadly, was just plain tacky.
