Why someone would want to remake it: Another Christopher Nolan film, "Inception" features some of the most mind-warping special effects and grand visual designs of the last ten years or so...but in twenty or thirty years they may look creaky enough for a studio to desire an updated version with more cutting edge effects. 

Why they shouldn't: Because it wasn't just about the trippy effects. Nolan and his cast brought a depth to the spectacle film that's largely absent from summer blockbusters. Love it or hate it, the labyrinthian plot demanded viewers' complete attention and left some of the film's biggest mysteries open-ended, something that happens less and less frequently in Hollywood fare.
