Golden Globes (NBC)
We all hoped that the former "SNL" co-stars would make the Globes must-see TV and that was an understatement. They only appeared a few times afterward, but the duo's opening monologue may go down as one of the greatest award show openings of all-time. This approximately 8-minute comedy bit managed to creatively bust on the HFPA, rip on nominee Anne Hathaway's horrendous Oscar hosting stunt (while making us sympathetic for her as she tried to cover her own laughter), remind everyone "none of us have plans to do porn" and, in perhaps the best line of the night, well, as Poehler noted:
"I haven't really followed the controversy over 'Zero Dark Thirty,' but when it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron."
Set. Game. Match. And we can't wait until they return in 2014 to do it all over again.
