The Moment: We discover why the Impossible Girl is impossible
Just as Doctor Who struggled to understand how Clara could be a 19th century barmaid-turned-governess, a spaceship crash survivor and a 21st century girl (among other incarnations), we were left to wonder, too. When we finally understand that Clara sacrificed herself by jumping into the Doctor's timestream to undo the damage done by the Great Intelligence, there's little satisfaction in knowing the truth, either for us or for the time lord. When Clara says, "Run, you clever boy, and remember me," we hardly need the plug; for her sacrifice, she's established herself as the most important companion, at least for a while.
