2013 Emmy Nominations Winners and Losers
Justin Timberlake and Louis C.K. shine as 'New Girl' is snubbed
Loser: 'Hannibal' cinematography
The Outstanding Cinematography For a Single-Camera Series field is a good one. You have "Mad Men," "House of Cards," "Homeland," "Boardwalk Empire" and "House of Cards." And who's going to quibble with those? Well, anybody who watched "Hannibal" and saw James Hawkinson and Karim Hussain prove that sterling cinematography isn't merely the domain of premium cable. Any Emmy voter who can look at Hussain's work in "Sorbet" or Hawkinson's work on the pilot and claim those hours aren't among the most gorgeously shot hours of TV of the year should be taken to have their eyes examined.
