Emmys 2013 Best and Worst: Neil Patrick Harris, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Merritt Wever and more
Best: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
They tease us. Both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler told Ryan Seacrest during E!'s red carpet pre-show that they were going to decide during the Emmy Awards if they would return to host the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. And, in case you forgot, it was probably the best hosting performance this century (not hyperbole). Honestly, we're concerned that after what the duo saw Neil Patrick Harris go through tonight they might now lean toward declining. That being said, Fey and Poehler were the perfect punchline to the show's flat opening bit. In fact, they were the only punch in that bit. And their stumbling up to the stage - we're not actually convinced it was a joke - actually had us hoping the rest of the show might take a better turn. Oh, well.
