Emmy Nomination Preview 2013 - Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy
Will the four 'Modern Family' men stack the category again?
Bill Hader of 'Saturday Night Live'
Bill Hader, "Saturday Night Live"
Nomination Status: Nominated last year... Why not again?
In His Favor: It took a few years, but Bill Hader finally cracked the Supporting Actor Emmy field last year for his consistently excellent work on "Saturday Night Live." It was a worthy recognition for Hader's status as "SNL" MVP and nothing particularly changed in what turned out to be his last year on the long-running NBC favorite. The season finale, which also saw Hader's Stefon get a fitting matrimonial send-off, should provide more than enough chuckles and sentiment for Hader to get another nomination.
Working Against Him: Had there been a greater influx of potential nominees in this category, I might think Hader had a good chance of being pushed out, but given that the major potential new nominees are all former nominees boosted by series finales or returns from the grave, I think Hader should remain stable.
