Mireille Enos of 'The Killing'
Mireille Enos, "The Killing"
Nomination Status: With an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for this role, Enos is very much still in this race.
In Her Favor: Emmy voters nominated Enos last year when feelings towards "The Killing" hadn't been soured by the first season finale. While Enos didn't have any showcase episodes quite on par with last season's "Missing," she'll be able to use her strong work in "72 Hours" as a worthy submission episode. In general, although what Enos did in the second season of "The Killing" wasn't varied, it always remained committed. And as weak as procedural parts of the show sometimes were, the scenes between Enos and Joel Kinnaman were always superior.
Working Against Her: Last nomination season, Enos and "The Killing" were shiny and new and no backlash had kicked in. This year, she'll have to overcome altered feelings about the show. She could have used a SAG Award nomination this winter to cement her position.
