Legendary visual effects house Industrial Light and Magic created the amazing visual effects for "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2," but weren't able to lead on "The Incredible Hulk," "Thor" or "Captain America: The First Avenger." ILM did tackle a majority of "The Avengers."  However, it's currently unclear whether they are on "Iron Man 3," "Thor: The Dark World" or "Captain America: Winter Soldier."  Many times, budgetary limits are the reason one particular CG house gets a gig over another (the lower bid usually wins).  Now, it's hard to believe Disney won't put ILM on a majority of its upcoming releases.  And, assuming ILM keeps up their high standards under Disney's watch, that could be the silver lining to this deal for movie fans across the globe.
