Dear Hollywood: Don't remake these '90s classics
Alright, I know what you're thinking: the '90s wasn't even that long ago! Isn't it a little too early to be putting out this list? Well sure, I think most of us can agree that it feels a little premature to be remaking films as recent as, say, "Point Break" or "The Crow", or...wait a minute, they already are remaking those movies? Yes, yes they are. See, the thing is, we're now more than 10 years removed from the '90s - far enough for risk-averse Hollywood studios to consider dusting off iconic titles from the decade that already possess a degree of built-in audience appeal. And while we could really care less about many of the films that may or may not be remade for a new generation (are we really going to make an issue over, say, a "Grumpy Old Men" reboot?), others most definitely are. Following is a list (a sequel of sorts...hmm...to our earlier '80s incarnation) of 12 '90s titles that are at least semi-likely to be remade and that we believe deserve to be left alone.
