Comic-Con 2013 Big Questions: 'Catching Fire,' Dan Harmon, 'Ender's Game'
Will Seth MacFarlane show for "Cosmos"?
You never know when the "Family Guy" creator is going to think the trip down to San Diego is worth his time. Although all of his animated hits have been Comic-Con regulars, MacFarlane sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't. It's just one of those things. This year, MacFarlane isn't listed in the Comic-Con schedule and it's likely that the midday Saturday panels for "Family Guy" and "American Dad" will go just fine without him. However, surely the early-evening Indigo Room panel for "Cosmos" would benefit from MacFarlane's presence. Yes, Neil deGrasse Tyson is pretty much the highest profile astro-physicist this side of Stephen Hawking, but this updated take on the landmark Carl Sagan miniseries has been MacFarlane's baby -- not his talking, matricidal baby -- for several years. This will be the biggest public showcase to date for "Cosmos." Even if he's busy on a movie, is MacFarlane really going to be satisfied letting Tyson and Brannon Braga represent?
