Abilities: In his current comic book incarnation, super strength, limited invulnerability and a love of long knives.  He's an expert hand-to-hand combatant.

Lowdown: Drax has an incredibly convoluted history that's going to be hard to explain on screen. Chances are, he'll be re-created for the movie with a much simpler origin so all bets on his background are off.  However, he has always been cosmically tied to Thanos and his life mission is to kill the evil deity. That likely won't change. He's also the father of Moondragon (sort of).
