Worst: It wasn't live
This is Andy Samberg performing his opening monologue just after 1:30 PM PST. Viewers didn't get to see this anywhere until 10 PM EST, a little under six hours later. Last year, IFC and Film Independent streamed the show live online before broadcasting it later that night. This year, tape delayed like the Olympics. We understand that it's hard for Film Independent to find a network partner to broadcast a live Saturday afternoon awards show, but when Samberg joked that more people were watching this ceremony in the tent than on TV he wasn't kidding. A 10 PM tape delay isn't necessarily going to help that much.
