Best and Worst of the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Best: Olympic cauldron itself
It's hard to top all the original torch designs over the past 20 years, but London may have just done it. Created out of copper shells that accompanied each nation's delegation of athletes, they are assembled in the center of the stadium. Eventually, seven new young athletes light the shells and they left up in the air to form a the Olympic cauldron. Quite beautiful.
