Best: An emotional farewell to 'Dexter'
While putting "Dexter" in Hall H for its final Comic-Con appearance may have seemed like a compliment, organizers hosed the serial killer drama by marooning it at the end of a mediocre Thursday in the big room. By the time Michael C. Hall and company took the stage, the room had been fallow for nearly two hours of Trailer Park and filler programming. Credit "Dexter," then, for coming as close as it did to filling Hall H and credit Showtime with throwing together a super panel that included the core cast, but also a number of familiar faces from beyond-the-grave, including Erik King, Lauren Velez and Julie Benz. With everybody from Desmond Harrington to Jennifer Carpenter clearly choked up by the emotion of the moment, it ended up being satisfying send-off and an affectionate love-fest.
