WORST: 'Hell Baby'

WORST: 'Hell Baby'

Director: Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon
Stars: Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb, Keegan Michael Key
Lowdown: Parodying horror films runs the danger of yielding one-noted comedy, and this lot of professional comedians couldn't help but bang that note over and over again. The naive spirit of your favorite B-film midnights is mocked by greats like Michael Ian Black, Kumail Nanjiani and Lennon in small doses, with Key pumping out especially great character work. However, there's a huge amount of minutes in between the mere seconds of firey brilliance, making it seem like "Hell Baby" would be a much better 22-minute TV show than a sinful 98-minute chore.
