Lowdown: The script for this one is practically perfect in every way, and part of what has us excited is the prospect of seeing Tom Hanks play Walt Disney in the film. This is the story of how a promise Disney made to his own kids led to a several-decades-long effort to turn the work of author P.L. Travers into a film, and just how hard that was. Travers hated and distrusted Hollywood, and the film will show why Mary Poppins was more than just some story she wrote. This has got a great ensemble cast, and Hancock has the strongest script of his career here, so we're willing to bet that this time next year, we'll all be talking about this one.
