Lowdown: Rodriguez has been promising this one for a while, but it's got a release date now and is presumed to be getting close to shooting. While the first one was eye-popping upon release, it remains to be seen if Rodriguez and Miller can wring further life out of the highly-stylized noir mash-up.  It's encouraging to see so may returning players, and any time Rodriguez makes a movie for grown-ups and not kids, it's a good thing.
