Stephen Chbosky, "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" - Best Adapted Screenplay
Some were surprised by Stephen Chbosky's WGA nomination for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Others would say when you look at the ineligibilities, it makes total sense. I'd say it has a better overall chance than just banking on those left off the list and could easily make the cut over Best Picture hopefuls like "Beasts of the Southern Wild" and "Les Misérables." The critics have kept some fuel in the tank along the circuit, too. Writers will respect what went into this adaptation and taht could tip the scales in its favor.
