'The Dark Knight Rises'
Pro: There's a perception that the widely-decried exclusion of “The Dark Knight” from the Best Picture race in 2008 partly prompted the expansion of the Best Picture category; fans are hoping for retribution.
Con: If Academy voters cared about what fans think, they'd have nominated “The Dark Knight.” And there's a growing consensus that the new film is not as strong as its higher-grossing, more culturally resonant predecessor.
