This is the category where MTV tries to make itself feel better about pushing misogynistic, materialistic videos down your throat 80% of the time. If any of these clips has helped someone feel better during a dark time—and there’s no doubt they have, especially Lovato’s “Skyscraper”— they’ve already earned far more than a Moon Man. Having said that, each one of these clips is well done, but Gym Class Heroes’ “The Fighter” featuring Ryan Tedder got an extra lift by tying in the real-life inspiring story of Olympic gymnast John Orozco.
