Hugh Laurie didn't even get to be this year's Steve Carell, going home empty-handed one last time on Emmy night. Instead, the six-time nominee was shut out in his last year of eligibility for the occasionally beloved FOX drama. And, as a series, "House" was shut out of the nominations for the first time.

On a side note, after Carell lost his final Emmy shot last year, "The Office" was shut out this year.
