Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, 'Hot Fuzz'

After sending up Romero's zombie films in "Shaun of the Dead," the Brit movie geek trio comprised of director Edgar Wright, and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost turned their comedy skills to balls-out action films like "Point Break" and "Bad Boys" with the 2007 film "Hot Fuzz." The tubby Frost plays a laconic small-town constable while Pegg, best known at that point for slacker roles in "Shaun" and on TV's "Spaced," cuts a surprisingly dashing figure as a big city badass demoted to small town patrols. The comedy was expected, but even as the tongue stays in the cheek, the action itself is more than just passable -- it's as exciting and entertaining as anything in "Lethal Weapon 3" or "Bad Boys II."
