Birds of Prey
Previous incarnations: "Birds of Prey" (2002-2003)
Movies or TV: TV
Why: "Birds of Prey" is a smart concept for a TV show that should have worked and bizarrely didn't. Airing on the WB beginning in 2002, it was based on the popular (and still running) series set in the "Batman" corner of the DC Universe. Unfortunately, besides fan-favorite Oracle, it featured the wrong heroes (and not enough of them). Currently, the new 52 version (DC's recent continuity reboot for all of you playing at home) of "Prey" features a younger Black Canary (no longer saddled with a Green Arrow marriage), samurai sword wielding Katana, Batgirl (Oracle gets her legs restored) and the always intriguing and seemingly heroic Poison Ivy. It's unclear whether DC and Warner would allow Batgirl to be part of a new series, but the less cheesy current incarnation could be a "Charlie's Angels" reboot for the 21st Century (Oh yeah, "Charlie's" didn't do so well this past season did it?).
