10 breakout movie actors of fall 2012
Which supporting players will have audiences talking this season?
Domhnall Gleeson
Where You've Seen Them Before: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2," "True Grit," "Never Let Me Go"
Breakout Role: "Anna Karenina"
Why: Let's be clear, Brendan Gleeson's oldest son isn't new to the entertainment business. He's had small parts in a number of films including the last two "Harry Potter" films. He's also been Tony nominated for his featured role in "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" on Broadway. However, it's his portrayal of Levin in Joe Wright's "Anna Karenina" that's his true breakout. Gleeson basically steals the movie from established stars Keira Knightley and Jude Law in the picture's secondary storyline. He'll be seen next in Richard Curtis' "About Time" alongside Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy. He's also shooting John Michael McDonagh's follow up to "The Guard," Calvary opposite his father and Chris O'Dowd. And then? Oh, just "Frank" which he is co-headlining with Michael Fassbender. Get ready for lots more from a new generation of Gleeson.
