Breakout Role: "Life of Pi"
Why: Sharma is superb as the title role in Ang Lee's adaptation of the popular Yann Martel novel. As the central figure in most of the ocean-bound epic, Sharma helps carry the movie and proves he's a true cinematic talent. If he wants it, he should be able to use his work in "Pi" - as well as the awards season attention he'll receive - as a calling card in Hollywood.
