15 big movie questions for summer: 'Prometheus,' Dark Knight Rises,' Tyler Perry
Could this be the greatest movie summer in decades?
Who wins the 'Dark Shadows' vs. 'The Dictator' weekend?
Tim Burton, coming off the biggest hit of his hit-filled career ("Alice in Wonderland"), returns to frequent leading man Johnny Depp and to the gloomy style of his past films for the upcoming "Dark Shadows." Initially, "The Dictator," the newest satire from Sacha Baron Cohen seemed to be the polar opposite. Then we found out that "Shadows" is actually an unexpected broad comedy. When you take into account that even Cohen's disappointing "Bruno" still had a $30 million opening this could be a much closer race than you think. Plus, there's no guarantee either comedy can beat "The Avengers" in its second weekend. That makes it one of the more intriguing box office weekends of the year.
