15 big movie questions for summer: 'Prometheus,' Dark Knight Rises,' Tyler Perry
Could this be the greatest movie summer in decades?
Is Andy Samberg going to end up the new Jimmy Fallon?
That's certainly the danger here. Samberg is a likable performer, but so far, he hasn't really demonstrated that he can disappear into a movie, and the preview for "That's My Boy" is wince-worthy. His Sundance film this year, "Celeste and Jesse Forever," got decidedly mixed reactions at the festival, and the strongest opinion I heard about it described it as "nice enough." Right now, he's looking like the sort of SNL graduate who never quite figures out the leading man thing, and he should consider what he could do with a sitcom or some other format. Then again, if movies really don't work out, he can always just record with Lonely Island forever.
