Fans are in a lather about the latest trailer for Ridley Scott's "we swear it's not a prequel even though it fits the definition exactly" to his classic 1979 film "Alien," but does the trailer work the same way on general audiences?  And when did we suddenly decide that Scott can do no wrong?  I saw "A Good Year" and I suffered through "Robin Hood" and I shrugged off "Body Of Lies."  Those are just the lousy movies he's made in the last five years.  Our fingers are crossed that "Prometheus" is a smart science-fiction epic, but fans are setting themselves up for massive disappointment with the almost ridiculous fervor they're showing for a few well-cut ads.  Take it down a notch, gentlemen.
