Two-time Oscar nominee and Shakespearean stage legend Ralph Fiennes could certainly be expected to exert a sure hand with actors when it came to helming a film, but his recent directorial debut, a modern-day updating of Shakespeare's "Coriolanus," showed off a striking visual style that wowed critics with its visceral intensity. Though it never managed to catch on with audiences (the film grossed barely over $1 million theatrically), it demonstrated a promising future behind the camera for Fiennes, who is currently in post-production on his sophomore effort, the Charles Dickens biopic "The Invisible Woman" in which he stars alongside Felicity Jones and Kristin Scott Thomas.
