10 things we're excited about now that the election is over
'Game of Thrones,' summer movie trailers, 'Community,' Bruno Mars and more
"Django Unchained"
There are very few movies left on the 2012 release schedule that could be genuine surprises. That's mostly because as a member of the media I've had a chance to catch many of this year's upcoming flicks already. Whether at a film festival or early screenings (such a horrible life, I know). "Skyfall"? Certified fantastic. "Silver Linings Playbook" or "The Impossible"? Go see them. "Les Miserables"? Can't wait to screen it, but we already know the story and/or seen the musical on stage. Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained"? The trailers are killer, but is it heartfelt? Is it just a rollicking wild revenge ride? Is it a hyper-real action comedy? No one really knows for sure and that's why it has more intrigue and excitement around it than anything else coming out over the next two months. Two words: can't wait.
