Although it won't be "officially" announced until Comic-Con, we already known that Marvel's next big cinematic superhero teaming will be the lesser-known Guardians of the Galaxy. The property has huge potential to be a multi-film outer space adventure, but two questions remain: Which of the various team members will make the cut for the big screen, and who will direct such an ambitious feature? We're hoping that they'll answer the first question with a virtual roll call of such heroes as Star-Lord, Groot and the diminutive butt-kicker Rocket Raccoon (pictured). And with a release date of August 14, 2014 already set, it's not unlikely that Marvel could be making one of their famously outside-the-box directorial choices known to fans this weekend in San Diego.
