While "The Lone Ranger" is nowhere to be found on the list of projects to be presented at Disney's Comic-Con panel on Thursday, a surprise appearance by star Johnny Depp to present the first-ever footage from the film wouldn't be unprecedented; indeed, he made a similar showing at the fest to promote the studio's "Alice in Wonderland" three summers ago. In fact, the actor turned out to promote "Ranger" back in April at Las Vegas' Cinema Con, so if nothing else it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
