10 Superheroines who need their own movie
Debuted: Marvel Spotlight #32 (Feb. 1977)
Previous Movie or TV appearances: "Spider-Woman" (animated)
Why: There have been a number of women who have taken the moniker of Spider-Woman over the years, but Jessica Drew was the first and she arguably has the most interesting story. The victim of genetic experiments by her parents, Drew became a HYDRA agent before striking out on her own as Spider-Woman). She's currently a member of the Avengers, but has had her loyalty questioned from time to time. Mostly, Drew seems to get caught in a, um, web outside of her control (being replaced by a Skrull Imposter for a few years tends to do that to a person). Unlike Spider-Man, however, Drew is a fully grown woman experienced in numerous fighting techniques. And while she can also walk on walls and has superhuman strength, Drew can fire bio-electric energy and release fear causing pheromones (yep, she's more powerful than ol' Spidey). She's been a private investigator, a secret agent and an Avenger. Quite a mix for the big screen. Oh, and she's got this costume that's gone from being thought of as cool to tacky to sexy all over again.
