Why: Plaza has already firmly established herself as a scene-stealing supporting actress with serious comedic chops, but "Safety" proves she also has leading lady credibility. Anyone expecting a feature length showcase of hipster snark is in for a surprise -- Plaza's winning turn as a romantic heroine is high on sincerity, low on irony. Plus, the movie is a funny, soulful, surprising delight.
